"My career has been almost 50 years long. I can say in all of these years the name Steinberg has been a staple in the music community of Memphis. The thing that causes people all over the world to talk about this city is the high caliber and consistency of the talent of the musicians who lived and breathed their music. My introduction to Stax records was made valuable to me after the success of "Green Onions" by Booker T. and the M.G.s One of the writers of that great record was Lewie Steinberg.
